Problems Logging In to BoardCloud
Help With Login Problems
When logging in to BoardCloud the login screen will look similar to the image below. The only change will be that your company logo will be displayed instead of the default BoardCloud logo shown below.
Unfortunately, there are a number of errors that can occur when attempting to login. Below is a list of common issues encountered by BoardCloud users when logging in.
You do not have a BoardCloud Account Yet
When trying to login to a non-existent account, the system will keep returning you to the login screen. It does this when presented with an email address that has not been loaded onto the system.
There will be no error message but the entered email address will still be displayed.
As can be seen from the above snip, an incorrect password has been entered.
You can try and correct the password and click login again. If you cannot remember your password, you can click the Forgot your password link to send your self an email with a password reset link in it.
Should you not receive this reset mail after about five minutes, look in the SPAM folder in your mailbox. You can try to resend a reset link again if the mail does not arrive. But if you do not receive an email you can:
- Email email@example.com and our support team will send you a password reset link directly to your company email box.
- Or you can email your BoardCloud administrator, who will be able to send you a reset link from their Admin dashboard.
Your Email Address has not been Confirmed
When your account is setup by the BoardCloud Admin, a Welcome to BoardCloud email is sent to your email address. If this mail arrives, it will have the subject Welcome to BoardCloud, and inside will be a link to confirm your email.
If the confirmation process is interrupted for some reason, you will receive the message similar to below when trying to login.
This means that your email address needs to be confirmed via a specially formed confirm email link, which (at this stage) can only be sent to you via email.
You can email firstname.lastname@example.org and request for a new welcome email to be sent to you.
Alternatively, an Admin can send you a confirmation link via a normal email.
Your Password has Not Been Set
Occasionally, it can happen that an email address has been confirmed and a password has not been set for an account.
In this case, you cannot be sent another Welcome email. Instead, a password reset is required.
Your Admin can send you a password reset email via the BoardCloud Member Admin panel or you can email email@example.com to request a password reset email be sent to your email address.
